Nearshore Fish and Flotsam of New York City
This was part of the 2008 Relative Environment outdoor sculpture exhibition at the Empire Fulton-Ferry Park in Brooklyn. On previous visits to the park, i retrieved flotsam (floating garbage) that had washed onto the shore of the East River. In the studio, this material was used to fashion models of the fish that live in the waters surrounding the park. The models were part of a information kiosk that featured my illustrated guide to the fish species and plastic resin types commonly found in the East River.
